DJ/producer Chops is dropping his National Champs mixtape this week with a little help from Paul Wall and the legendary DJ Clue.

The National Champs mixtape features original tracks produced and remixed by Chops from Paul Wall's The People's Champ album as well as songs where Paul appeared as a featured artist. The tape, which is co-hosted by Chops, Wall and Clue, also features music by The Game, Mike Jones, Slim Thug, Jim Jones and Nelly, among others.

"Being a part of this mixtape was a great experience for me," Paul Wall said via a statement . "Chops' manager Mike Baxter reached out to me about getting down on the project and of course, I was 100% down."

"I feel like music is so segmented right now and we are going to bring it all together with the National Champs," Chops added, also via statement. "Artists from all walks should be coming together in and out of the studio."

This is not the first time that the producer and MC have teamed up. Chops and Paul recently scored "Best Mixtape of the Year" honors for Paul's It's Going Down mixtape at this year's Southern Entertainment Awards.

In addition to the National Champs project, Chops is currently working on new music with Clue, as well as a new project with Killa Kyleon of the Slim Thug's Boss Hogg Outlawz. He's also produced a forthcoming soundtrack for the D.A. Bullock independent film Dark, which he also scored, that is currently available in stores.
