19 year old Paolo Nutini is the latest bright young Scottish star on the music scene. Hailing from Paisley, Paolo has been snapped up by American label Atlantic Records, who already have the likes of Bjork, Craig David, Gnarls Barkley and Zero 7 on their roster.
Fresh from a head-turning performance at this year's Radio One's One Big Weekend in Dundee, Paolo is due to embark on a UK tour to promote his debut single These Streets, which was released as a download only single on May 30th, followed by the single Last Request on July 3rd.
Paolo Nutini has already played a headlining sold out gig at the UK's best venue King Tuts and he is due to play there again on June 11th.
Following today's news that a further 12,000 T in the Park tickets go on sale this Saturday, Paolo has been confirmed to play at this year's festival on July 9th. The Balado sunshine will be a fitting backdrop for Paolo's songs about lost loves and his life experiences growing up in Scotland.
His debut single These Streets was inspired by experiences of living in bed-sits in London, while songs like Last Request and Rewind were written about turbulent times with an ex-girlfriend.
The Scottish dates on Paolo's tour in June are:
6th Westport Bar - Dundee
7th Fired Art - Fort William
9th The Raigmore - Inverness
10th Tunnels - Aberdeen
11th King Tuts - Glasgow
