Info Park City High School seniors need to know
Information provided by the Park City High School counseling office and compiled by Dale Thompson.

Check-out procedure

For seniors to receive their cap, gown and yearbook they must have all their teachers sign their check-out form, which was handed out on May 31 during second period.

Fees will be owed to teachers for lost or damaged books. Signatures from the library and/or athletics secretary are not mandatory unless there is a fee due printed on their check-out form.

Lost forms can be replaced at either the registrar's office or main office, but the school urges students to keep track of the original.

Seniors may turn in their check-out cards during fourth period on June 7. Seniors with completed cards will receive their cap, gown and yearbook.

Bell schedule for June 7, 8 and 9

June 7 Red

June 8 White

June 9 Red (note: June 9 is a regular school day and students are expected to attend class.)

Lunch reminder

There will be a lunch period held on June 8 and 9, but lunch will not be sold on those days and students will need to bring their own meal.

Graduation practice days and times

Thursday, June 8 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Friday, June 9 from 7:30. to 11 a.m.

Graduation dress code

Young men are encouraged to wear a collared shirt and dress shoes with long pants. Young women are encouraged to wear long dresses and comfortable shoes. High heels are discouraged because it will be difficult to walk on the rough surfaces at The Canyons. Items not allowed: sun glasses, sneakers, flip flops, sandals, pins, corsages or leis. The school also asks that students iron their gowns.

Students who are part of Park City High School's class of 2006, but are ineligible to graduate should contact the counseling office at: 645-5657.

GRADUATION LOGISTICS

Where and when

The graduation ceremony will take place on June 9 at 5 p.m. at The Canyons. Take the cabriolet lift to the central portion of the resort where the ceremony will be held.

Seating

Students may invite an unlimited number of guests but will only receive two tickets for seating in the bleachers. Other attendees may bring folding chairs and sit in designated areas on the walkway and grass. Those with special needs should park in the rear lot of the Sundial Lodge for more convenient access to seating.

Alternative plans in case of bad weather

If poor weather prevents an out-of-doors ceremony it will be relocated to the Eccles Center. Students will be limited to four tickets, all other guests may watch a video transmission of the ceremony in the overflow areas. The final decision about where graduation will be held will take place on June 8 during the rehearsal.

Photographs

Parents may photograph the ceremony and a professional photographer will be taking pictures of students after they receive their diploma. The professional photographer will contact families over the summer and provide information about how they may purchase the pictures.
