Saturday 'All About the Music' Festival Cancelled
Bad Weather Brings Early End to Day-Long Webcast from WXPN
Citizen Cope was to headline the day-long webcast.
NPR.org, July 22, 2006 · Strong thunderstorms swept through Wiggins Park in Camden, N.J., at 5:15 p.m. ET Saturday, forcing festival organizers to cancel the day of live music. More details are available at the WXPN Web site.
Memphis hip-hop blues artist Citizen Cope had planned to join a bevy of other musicians for the live concerts, which were to webcast in their entirety on NPR.org. The performances were part of the annual 'All About the Music' festival from NPR station WXPN in Philadelphia. Josh Ritter, Jim James of My Morning Jacket, Steve Wynn and the Miracle 3, Slo Mo with Mic Wrecka and Konono No. 1 were also scheduled to play.
