Cirrus acquires minority share of SATSair
SATSair produces "Air Taxi" services

Published: Thursday, June 1, 2006 - 8:03 am

BUSINESS STAFF

SATSair, a provider of "Air Taxi" services, announces that Cirrus Industries has acquired a minority share and become a strategic partner in the company. SATSair has changed its name and logo to reflect the transition from SATSair, Operated by Rhino Aviation, to SATSair LLC.

SATSair's headquarters will remain in Greenville, and the executive and management teams will not change. In addition, the strategic partnership of SATSair and Cirrus Industries will not affect jobs or employee benefits.

"We have a successful business model and we will continue to offer the same great service that our customers have come to expect," said Steve Hanvey, CEO of SATSair. "This strategic partnership is a logical step that will allow both companies to grow and leverage the opportunities surrounding the SATS concept."

Using new Cirrus SR22 aircraft, SATSair's mission is to provide safe, convenient, economical air travel and top-notch customer service. SATSair's service area includes North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Virginia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Delaware, Washington and West Virginia, as well as portions of Arkansas, Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Indiana, Florida and Louisiana.
