Cornell will unveil tracks from his upcoming solo album, "Carry On," and dust off tunes from his previous bands, as well as from the Temple of the Dog side project. "Carry On," due in stores on May 1, is the follow-up to his first solo album, 1999's poorly received "Euphoria Morning."
Cornell recently parted ways with his Audioslave bandmates, shortly after they decided to resurrect their former combo Rage Against the Machine with singer Zack De La Rocha. Audioslave recorded three studio albums, with sales following a sharply downward trajectory. Cornell has ruled out a Soundgarden reunion; the Grammy-winning Seattle band broke up in 1997.
The solo tour will also visit Minneapolis (April 8), Chicago (April 11), Toronto (April 14), New York (April 16), Boston (April 19), Philadelphia (April 22), Baltimore (April 24), Dallas (April 27), Austin (April 29) and Los Angeles (May 2).
