'Carl Cox' (born July 29, 1962 in Oldham) is a popular international techno DJ. He is also known as the Big Black Cox or 3 deck wizard because he plays on three turntables at once instead of playing on two. He spearheads two record labels, Intec Records and 23rd Century records.
Carl became famous as hardcore and house DJ in the late 1980s and early 1990s, playing at clubs such as Shelly's, Heaven, Angels and The Hacienda.
