The London Daily Mail online posted a story today critiquing Lisa Marie Presley's appearance and compared her father Elvis' "bloated period."
From the Daily Mail: Only last summer Miss Presley - who includes Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage among her four former husbands - appeared trim and fit.
Publicity shots of her singing "In The Ghetto" in a virtual reality duet with her father showed her looking the image of her mother, the slim and elegant Priscilla, when she was in her 20s.
But Miss Presley, who was pictured this week at a charity to feed the homeless, has a long way to go before she is in danger of emulating her father's gross weight gain before his death at 42 in 1977 ...

| Lisa Marie starting to look like her dad at his most porcine isn't nearly as scary as (judging from the picture) her mother starting to look like her former son-in-law, Jacko. | ||||

| Let's be honest now. The Presley ladies are not exactly of Pavarottian proportion, are they? In this era where grossly overweight people are becoming a serious problem to health services on both sides of the Atlantic, Elvis Presley at his heaviest would have looked quite slim in comparison :-) The British "Daily Mail" is one of the nastiest tabloid newspapers in circulation. Nevertheless it is not ALL bad. It's saving grace? Fairly recently the newspaper issued free Elvis CDs so that the hundreds of thousands ( if not millions) of it's readers would hear Elvis's amazing, beautiful and versatile voice. :-) http://irelandtoo.blogspot.com | ||||

| How cruel for her to be torn down for her appearance. What if she is sick? The media pushes this idyllic, unrealistic female image that we expect celebrities to live up to. We seem to forget that it is just a fantasy. No mercy is shown for a person who could very possibly be suffering from an illness. Lisa Marie is a beautiful woman. It's no wonder she's skittish when it comes to the media. Cruel jabs such as this are unnecessary and just give her another reason to shy away from cameras. To give the knife of negativity an extra little twist, sneeringly bring up her former husbands. | ||||

| I've always thought that Lisa Marie Presley was big boned. She may be thin at times but I think her natural weight is on the chunky side. Why, because if you look at just her face you would think you were looking at a heavy person, but the body is thin. Now either she has gained weight back again or shes pregnant, I just recently heard her say in an interview, I don't remember what show it was, that she wanted to have more children and didn't mind starting over again even though she's nearly 40. So there's a good chance SHE IS PREGNENT no one knows for sure but her. | ||||
