Memorial Day service
The West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at 4000 Forest Hill-Irene will hold a Memorial Day Service on Monday at 11 a.m. The cemetery is just south of Winchester Road.
The guest speaker will be Col. Garry T. Hicks, the 164th Airlift Wing, Mission Support Group commander.
There also will be a flyover by the 14th FTW, Columbus Air Force Base, Columbus, Miss.
Rec Center open
The Bartlett Recreation Center, 7700 Flaherty Place, will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Memorial Day.
Senior Health Fair
There are as many ways to work fitness into the daily routine as there are people, and local seniors will check some of them out on the 13th annual National Senior Health and Fitness Day, Wednesday. Bartlett Recreation Center will serve as an official host site for the day with a Senior Health Fair beginning at 9 a.m. There will be free health screenings such as cholesterol, blood sugar, bone density and blood pressure.
