'Boyz N Da Hood' is an African American Southern rap quartet from Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.
The members of the group are Lee "Big Block" Dixon (29), Miguel "Big Gee" Scott (26), and Jacoby "Jody Breeze" White (21). They are currently signed to P. Diddy's Bad Boy Records and are the first artists on the Bad Boy South imprint.
Their self-titled debut album, Boyz N Da Hood, was released on June 21, 2005 and peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album features production from Jazze Pha, Nitti, and DJ Toomp. Their debut single, "Dem Boyz", reached #56 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart during the summer of 2005. Its music video received massive play on BET and MTV, and especially on the digital music video station MTV Jams, where it was a heavy-rotation staple during the entire summer.
Their sophomore album is set to release on September 21 2006 called "Screw" under Diddy's Bad Boy South.
Young Jeezy is also signed to Jay-Z's Def Jam Records and just released his solo debut album called "Lets Get It: Thug Motivation 101" featuring the hit singles "Soul Survivor" featuring Akon, "Go Crazy" featuring Jay-Z, and "And Then What" featuring Mannie Fresh of Cash Money Records.
Young Jeezy was originally in the group but was only signed on to do one album.
Lil Wayne is NOT in Boyz N Da Hood. He said it didn't work out.
