'boysetsfire' is a hardcore punk/emo band from Delaware that formed in October 1994. boysetsfire is composed of guitarists Chad Istvann and Josh Latshaw, bassist Robert Ehrenbrand, drummer Matt Krupanski, and vocalist Nathan Gray. They released their first demo albums in late 1994 and early 1995. In 1996 they released their first EP, This Crying This Screaming, My Voice is Being Born. They have released records through Initial Records , Victory Records , Wind-Up Records and Equal Vision Records/Burning Heart Records. They have released split EPs with Coalesce, Shai Hulud, and Snapcase.
boysetsfire are known for the intensity of their live dates but also the intensity of their political convictions.
In 2005 they signed to the independent record labels Burning Heart Records(World)/Equal Vision Records(North America) and will release their upcoming album "The Misery Index: Notes From The Plague Years" in February 2006.
