Blue October Information
Blue October
'Blue October' is a Texas indie rock band originally from Houston. The group has developed a rather large following in the Southwest and frequently draws sellout crowds.
Blue October was dropped by Universal Records after the release of Consent to Treatment in 2000 and was re-signed by the same label in 2003. Ironically, the band's third album History for Sale — which was re-released on Universal — is largely a response to the control the label placed on the group during the Consent to Treatment production process.
The History for Sale single Calling You, featured on the American Wedding movie soundtrack, has been the group's largest mainstream success.
The band has announced that a new album, entitled Foiled, is scheduled to be released on March 14, 2006.
