Hip-Hop Rumors: Black Rob, Olivia, Kanye West and Illseed's Commentary!
UH OH. BLACK ROB IN REHAB?
I don't know how true this is, but I’m hoping it’s false:
Rumor has it Black Rob is currently seeking treatment at a rehab institute in the New York area. I heard, he checked himself in last week. If so, he'll be in there for about 21 days to detox from the unknown substance. True? I don't know. False [unless he is really on drugs and then rehab is a good thing]? I hope so!
ABOUT THAT OLIVIA ALBUM…
Where the devil is that Olivia album? This is more than street hearsay, but I heard that the first lady of G-Unit is 4 months pregnant. The father is allegedly a songwriter/producer from Queens. There have been plenty rumors about Olivia, but I think it’s just because we want that dag-on album or at least a swimsuit calendar!
FACT NOT FICTION!
Kanye West has used Michael Jackson in his raps a couple of times. Now, rumor has it that Mr. West and Mr. Jackson have actually collaborated. Imran hit me up and let me know that this past weekend while Kanye was on tour in Europe, he and Michael Jackson got in the studio together. Apparently, Kanye is helping out MJ for his next album by producing 3 or 4 tracks. MiJac has been down for a long time – its time for a comeback. I will tell you this – no matter how big you think your favorite star is, he isn't as big as the “Thriller."
MORE ON COMMON!
Ok, so I have more details on the Common situation in South Carolina. Most of the details are on point, but a few people are telling me that the guy wasn't a racist skinhead, he just had a skinhead-looking hairstyle. And, he reacted to something Common said. A witness says, "I was right in the front row at the Common show in Myrtle Beach, SC. Dude was not a skinhead...though he may have looked like one. He was rockin' with everyone else until Common busted a freestyle that basically said: “BUSH IS WACK!” That’s what sent dude over the edge. White boys love Hip-Hop, but you can't talk about their Bush [illseed note: not all White people love Bush!]. Common was giving love to the crowd and dude caught his hand and tried to pull him into the crowd. Common pulled back with one hand and smacked the mess out of the back of dude's head with the other hand. Talk about hilarious! Security pulled dude out of the crowd and escorted him off like the Doosiers from Fraggle Rock." Other witnesses tell me that the fake skinhead repeatedly gave Com the middle finger. So, what's worse? A racist skinhead or a Bush supporter? I don't know, but I know one of the two has no power. Hahahaha! [P.S. Peace to AHH contributor Gentle Jones, who admitted to being a non-racist skinhead, not a neo-Nazi.]
TO MY WHITE PEOPLE!
A few of you hit me up with opinions and this included one complete idiot who I'd like to slap fire out of. Many of you asked, "If I wore a 'I love WHITE people' shirt, would I be branded a racist?" I have to question my melanin deficient sisters and brother sometimes. Now, if somebody wore a shirt like that around me, I wouldn’t even care. The issue is not with you being in love with your race – that's fine. The problem comes when your love for your race translates into hatred for other races, cultures and creeds, which is normally the case. Sadly, that happens more often than not. Furthermore, other communities clearly love each other based on how they do each other on a family level, business level and as an overall community.
Black people have traditionally allowed all sorts of people come into
our "house" as family. Just look at the Apollo, for example. The
Apollo Theatre is renown for its brutal crowds, but when there is a
person of another race crooning away, they get so much applause they usually end up winning despite their typical lack of talent. I think, based on the past, witnessing the present and looking towards the future plight of African Americans and people of African descent, it is very important to say as loudly as you can "I LOVE BLACK PEOPLE." Black man, love the Black woman and vice versa. Don't let ANYBODY tell you there's something wrong with that. That's a Jedi mind trick and we're not falling for it! So, if anybody knows where these t-shirts can be purchased online, let me know. I'm about to pump up the volume for a lucky retailer! I LOVE BLACK PEOPLE.
Mother f***ers!
Did you miss yesterday’s rumor about possible Cam’ron/Jim Jones beef? Do yourself a favor and go over here, killer!
They keep us talking, but if we stop talking about them then they should worry!
