You can now leave your houses safely again, as two wanted rapping fugitives have been apprehended in relation to two unrelated sets of charges.
Bad Boy Records artist Black Rob (born Robert Ross) is in police custody after being picked up by federal marshals on a fugitive warrant at an undisclosed location in New Jersey. Rob pleaded guilty on November 15 to criminal possession of stolen property related to a 2004 burglary and was sentenced to two to six years in prison. He was set free on bail but was nowhere to be found when he was supposed to turn himself in on January 24. He could now get more time added to his sentence for jumping bail.
Rob was previously arrested in 2000 for gun and drug possession and served a six-month prison sentence for failure to pay child support in 2004. He's recently been battling a kidney illness.
On the other side of the country, the FBI and San Francisco police acted on a tip and seized Mac Minister. The rapper (real name Andre Dow), who has appeared on albums by Snoop Dogg and JT The Bigga Figga, has been a fugitive since November after being indicted for the murders of Kansas City, Missouri rappers Anthony "Fat Tone" Watkins and Jermaine "Cowboy" Atkins.
The two men were found dead in Las Vegas last May and police allege that Minister murdered them to get revenge for the killing of Vallejo, California rapper Andre "Mac Dre" Hicks, who was shot to death in Kansas City in November 2004.
Minister was featured in an episode of America's Most Wanted in February and was found hiding out in a San Francisco apartment. After some resistance, he was detained by a S.W.A.T. team.
