Michael Jackson acquires Eminem song rights
Michael Jackson has bought some of the rights to Eminem's back catalogue in a new deal, reveals News of the World.

The singer has also acquired rights to music by Shakira, Beck and Bjork in a deal with Viacom for his company. Jackson already holds the rights to the copyright of The Beatles, and is proud of his new accomplishment, Famous Music LLC.

"This is a milestone event for Sony/ATV Music Publishing," he said in a statement. "The diverse collection of songs in this catalogue range from timeless classics to contemporary hits, and I am pleased to add the acquisition of Famous Music to Sony/ ATV."
