Focus on the past
AN EXTRAORDINARY collection of black and white photographs – recovered from a West Sussex garden shed – form the backdrop to a new exhibition at the Arden and Anstruther Gallery in Lombard Street, Petworth.
The collection is the work of Tillington photographer Gerry Castle, who – now approaching his 80s – captured unforgettable scenes of life in Liverpool, not long after the end of the Second World War.
