British rock singer Billy Bragg has vowed to block the release of a race-hate album by the British National Party - because they mis-represent a song by his musical hero Woody Guthrie.
The forthcoming album Time To Make A Stand includes a re-written version of American folk singer Guthrie's famous hit This Land Is Your Land.
Bragg has teamed up with Guthrie's family to prevent the 13-track CD being released on the party's label, Great White Records.
The 49-year-old She's Leaving Home hitmaker says, "There are strict laws which stop the work of songwriters being changed. The family are determined to stop this version."
