'Beloved' was a Christian emo/hardcore band from Greensboro and Winston-Salem, NC. They were signed to Solid State Records, on which they released two albums. The band decided to break up in late 2004. They started the band in 1999, and gained their popularity with the release of their only full length album, Failure On. After much touring, however, the band realized that they were not able to continue making music together, and decided to break up. Their farewell show took place in Winston Salem, NC, on January 14, 2005. The show also featured Underoath, Classic Case, and Glass Casket, and a special surprise appearance by Norma Jean. The band recently released a DVD of footage of their farewell show. The ex-members of Beloved went on to play in bands such as Dead Poetic and Norma Jean.
