Vintage Diana Ross album making CD debut

NEW YORK (Billboard) - Diana Ross' second solo album, "Everything Is Everything," will come out on CD for the first time on June 17 with a selection of bonus tracks, including a previously unreleased cover of the Beatles' "Something."

The set was released in 1970, the same year as her self-titled solo debut, and failed to spawn a single along the lines of the No. 1 pop hit "Ain't No Mountain High Enough."

However, "I'm Still Waiting" reached No. 1 on the U.K. singles chart, and Ross' cover of Aretha Franklin's "I Love You (Call Me)" was nominated for a Grammy.

Beyond the album's original 11 tracks, the new edition of "Everything Is Everything" (Hip-O-Select/Motown) includes alternate versions of "Ain't No Sad Song" and "Baby It's Love," and remixes of "Come Together" and "I'm Still Waiting." In addition to the Beatles cover, the package is rounded out by a previously unreleased cover of "What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life?" from the film "The Happy Ending."

Ross will be on tour in North America throughout the summer, and next plays Calgary Wednesday.
