Warren Buffet donates stock to unnamed group
The Associated Press

OMAHA, Neb. - Billionaire Warren Buffett has given away 602,500 Class B shares of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. stock to five charitable foundations to complete the first year of his plan that he outlined in June to give away the bulk of his $43.8 billion fortune.
Those shares were worth $3,213 each, more than $1.94 billion, at the close of trading Tuesday. Most of the shares - 500,000 - went to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
But Tuesday's filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission also mentioned a gift of 5,000 Class B shares, worth about $16 million at Tuesday's prices, to an unnamed charitable foundation. No gifts of that size were included in Buffett's plan to give his fortune away, so it's not clear whether this gift went to one of the five foundations already expecting a share of Buffett's wealth.

Debbie Bosanek said Buffett was not available to answer any questions. But Bosanek said Buffett has said he would ''make various gifts of the remaining unearmarked stock to other charitable organizations.'' She said those gifts will continue throughout Buffett's life.
Buffett did say in June that all of his 474,998 Class A shares of Berkshire would eventually go to charity, although the plan he revealed didn't say where 73,332 Class A shares would go.
