'112' (pronounced "One-TWELVE") is an American R&B quartet from Atlanta, Georgia, made up of members Daron Tavaris Jones, Michael Marcel Keith (aka Mike), Quinnes Daymond Parker (aka "Q"), and Marvin Eugene Scandrick, III (aka "Slim"). They are best known for hit singles such as "Anywhere" and "Dance With Me". Formerly flagship artists for Sean "P. Diddy" Combs' Bad Boy Records, the group left Bad Boy and signed to Def Soul roster in the early 2000s. 112 is not the average put together singing group, the members of 112 have been knowing each other since childhood and have been singing together since high school. Each member can trace his singing roots back to the church. The members of 112 each contribute something special to the group that distinguishes them from the rest. Daron is the music man- producing many of 112's tracks; Slim is no doubt the stand-out member due to his voice (he also often sings lead); Mike is the leader of the group and often the speaker; and Q gives 112 their trademark sexiness. This is a Grammy award winning group which is something that their closest competition group; Jagged Edge cannot boast. That's okay though because 112 and JE come from the same background as far as hometown and singing roots are concerned- the two even toured together back in the early 2000's.
